The CSPDC Housing Program addresses the region’s housing needs through broad regional planning and targeted local initiatives. By combining research, strategic housing planning, and grant-funded projects, we work to both preserve and expand affordable housing options across the Central Shenandoah region.

The Housing Program also supports eligible first-time homebuyers through down payment assistance programs and facilitated access to reduced-interest loans, making homeownership more attainable for current and future Central Shenandoah residents.

Our work brings together local governments, housing authorities, nonprofit partners, lenders, and community advocates to create collaborative solutions. Through these partnerships, we ensure that housing strategies remain coordinated, effective, and responsive to the evolving needs of our communities.
